What’s that smell ?…

For a while now, I have been thinking about changing the type of deodorant/antiperspirant I use.

I have always been in favour of the spray on deodorant, but have becoming increasingly aware of possible health problems that might be associated with some of the ingredients in these types of products.

I have decided to give up using anti-perspirants as these prevent the sweat from leaving the body in a natural way by blocking the pores with various chemicals.

So I decided to try out a few that are free from Aluminium compounds and parabens.

Bionsen has quite a selection of products to choose from, including a spray.

Bionsen Mineral Protective deodorant for sensitive skin is alcohol, parabens and aluminium free. I liked this product and is great for anyone that likes a spray.

I tried two other Bionsen roll-on deodorants – one for sensitive skin and the original.  Both were alcohol, parabens and aluminium free.  Both, I liked and seemed to be effective.

Pitrok is a crystal roll-on deodorant which is free from aluminium, parabens, propylene glycol or silicone.  It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and it is not tested on animals. This was my least favourite as it was the least effective.

Tisserand Rose Blend contains organic and ethically harvested essential oils and plant extracts, including rose, geranium and lemon leaf oils.  It is free from parabens, aluminium and synthetic fragrances.  Not tested on animals.  This one was definitely my favourite and has a lovely scent.  In fact, I’m on my second bottle.

To maximise deodorants effectiveness, always apply to clean skin.
