Skinade – a review …

Just over a month ago, I was contacted by a by a PR company asking if I would like to try Skinade – a collagen drink, and as I had heard of the brand I thought it would be a great opportunity to try it out for a month and let you know how I got on.

Skinade is an anti-ageing collagen drink which is designed to boost the body’s natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid.  They state it can make improvements in as little as 30 days.  Its intention is to improve tone, texture, hydration, suppleness and smooth lines.

Skinade contains six active ingredients.

Vitamin C – very important for the skin as it boosts the immune system and reduces the damage caused by free radicals.  It is also important in the formation of collagen in the body.

Hydrolysed Marine Collagen Peptides – to boost collagen production.

MSM – helps to form collagen and keratin.

Vitamin B Complex – protects cells.

Omegas 3 and 6 – to balance the skin.

L-lysine – an essential amino acid that helps build the collagen matrix.

Skinade is lactose, gluten and dairy free.

Obviously, being a beauty blogger I am pretty focused on how I look after my skin, and am trying new products all the time, but I am also very aware that diet plays a huge role in how the skin looks and how it can slow down the ageing effect.

I have to say that I have definitely noticed a difference with my skin, and this was quite evident after about two weeks of drinking Skinade.  As well as improvement in the texture and hydration, I have noticed that I haven’t had any spots and my Rosacea has also improved.

In fact, I am so happy with it, that I intend to continue using Skinade for the foreseeable future.

One comment about the packaging, the main product comes in quite large bottles, but the travel packs (which you have to add to water) are much smaller and healthier for the environment.

Hope everyone has a great week.

  1. I have wondered about the collagen supplements. How does this one taste? I have some powder from Axe and it was weird tasting. I am going to try in some coffee tomorrow and they said in coffee it was undetectable. But if you notice a difference, I would definitely want to try and continue using the supplement and see if I get any improvement. Wondering if this one is sort of like lemonade? I hope!??

    1. It tastes fruity. I quite like it. It has really made a difference to my skin, which to be honest, I wasn’t expecting. Xx

      1. That sounds really good! The powder I have was sort of fishy (which was devastating). I’m going to try the coffee but we’ll see. I’m going to look at the Skinade. Did you drink one daily?

      2. Yes one a day, which they recommend you drink with or just after food. Is it hot in Arizona?

      3. It’s not really hot yet but it will heat up in May. And then we’ll start dying off in June. LOL

  2. Loved the review, I followed you, follow back?
